The second was time to do something positive for my physical health. As a qualified Personal Trainer, exercise has always been a huge part of my life. Yet, after my c-section, my journey back into fitness was more challenging than I expected. Trying to find time for myself to exercise while caring for my baby full-time and without a “village”… was HARD.

Fit Mum’s Club aim is not only to give you the tools, space and time to help you become physically stronger and fitter, but also to support your overall mental and emotional wellbeing as a new (or not-so-new) mum.

Our classes run every Friday from 2:00–3:00 pm at Langford Village Hall and include a full-body circuit, with modifications to suit your current fitness level and postpartum stage. Each class finishes with tea, coffee, a snack, and a chance to chat and connect with other mums while little ones play.

Classes are suitable for those 6+ weeks postpartum (or 12 weeks postpartum for c-section mums). Babies and toddlers up to school age are welcome.

Classes are led by Karen Tortel, a fully qualified Pre/Postnatal Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and MUM.

About

As a newly postpartum mum, there were two things I knew I needed.

The first was a community of other mums I could talk to, relate to, and share solidarity with through all the highs and lows of motherhood… the sleepless nights, the firsts, the worries, and everything in between.
